(ANSA) – ROME, APR 19 – The International Monetary Fund on
Tuesday cut its Italy growth forecasts to 2.3% in 2022, and 1.7%
in 2023, respectively down 1.5 percentage points and 0.5 points
on the last such forecasts in January.

Growth will continue to slow, reaching 0.5% in 2017, the IMF
said.

Italy and Germany are the eurozone countries which have seen the
growth forecasts cut the most because of their relaince on
Russian gas amid the Ukraine conflict.

The IMF said the Ukraine war would crimp growth and high
