Finnish participant Otto Hokkanen has been issued a one-sport suspension by the advert-hoc Disciplinary Panel on the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship.
Hokkanen was assessed a match penalty for checking from behind at 11:07 of the second interval in Finland’s opening sport towards Switzerland.
The panel decided that the participant recklessly endangered his opponent by checking him from behind into the boards whereas he had loads of time to make a distinct play.
