Ott Tänak rounded off a dominant efficiency at Rally Italia Sardegna to deliver Hyundai Motorsport its first FIA World Rally Championship victory of the season.
Tänak, driving a hybrid-powered Hyundai i20 N Rally1, grabbed the lead early on Saturday after Esapekka Lappi crashed out. He remained unchallenged from that second on and introduced the automotive dwelling to safe his first win since Arctic Rally Finland Powered by CapitalBox in February 2021.
M-Sport Ford driver Craig Breen was second in a Puma, whereas Tänak’s team-mate Dani Sordo accomplished the main trio.
