From this Friday until Sunday, August 7, the first National Festival of Video Game Makers will take place in Cuba, based at the Espacios Creativos center located in the country’s capital.
The event features a video game fair, specialized national and international talks and a forum for filmmakers, spaces that will encourage debate on experiences, proposals and reflections around the video game development process (pre-production, production and post-production).
In the same way, the memories of this Festival will constitute fundamental documents for the development of the industry and will support the content of the White Book of Video Games in Cuba.
At the same time, the development simultaneous (Hackathon) will take place, an event similar to the Global Game Jam and that will be focused on the development of video games with a theme aligned with some objective of the United Nations sustainable development agenda.
The Festival is sponsored by the Union of Informatics of Cuba, the Scientific and Technological Park of Havana, the Xetid company, the Icaic Animation Studies, the University of Informatics Sciences, among others.
