President Alberto Fernández shared an act this Friday with the new Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, in Cañada de Gómez, where the new railway that will reach the city of Rosario was officially launched.

Fernández and Massa shared a public act for the first time since the changes arranged in the Ministry of Economy.
The new rail service will allow 2,000 passengers a day to move between the 71 kilometers that separate the Rosario Norte and Cañada de Gómez stations, a journey that takes two hours and ten minutes, which has intermediate stops in Correa, Carcarañá, San Gerónimo , Roldán, Funes and Antarctica Argentina.
“The provision will be made with three long-distance cars, a locomotive and a generator car. It will have 216 first-class locations, and will have a total of 16 weekly services, detailed from the national government.
In addition, they pointed out that “the cost of the ticket between the main stations is $120 and up to the Roldán station, which is halfway, 60 pesos.”
The reactivation of the service involved an investment of $1,000 million, given that “a replacement of sleepers and fixings was carried out, and the level crossings were adapted to provide higher levels of safety to the operation,” they specified.
After returning to Buenos Aires, the President has no scheduled agenda at the Casa Rosada, since around 11:00 p.m. he will leave the Ezeiza International Airport for Colombia to participate next Sunday in the inauguration of Petro , who will be in charge of the Colombian Government until 2026, replacing the outgoing Iván Duque. Alberto Fernández will have his first bilateral meeting with Petro and will also hold meetings with the president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, and of Bolivia, Luis Alberto Arce.

The presence of the head of state in Colombia also represents support from the region for Petro, given that Alberto Fernández is currently at the head of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
