A California lady discovered $36,000 stuffed within the cushions of a free sofa she snagged on Craigslist — and gave the cash proper again.
Vicky Umodu wanted to furnish her new house cheaply and couldn’t consider her luck when she discovered a settee set being given away.
“I just moved in, and I don’t have anything in my house,” she advised ABC7 from her house in Colton, close to Los Angeles this week.
“I was so excited, so we picked it up and brought it in.”
But it turned on the market was an entire lot extra to the giveaway than met the attention.
The lump she discovered inside one of many cushions turned out to be a number of envelopes full of money — hundreds of {dollars}’ price.
“I was just telling my son, come, come, come! I was screaming, this is money! I need to call the guy.”
Umodu known as the individuals who had given her the sofa, advised them of the bonanza, and returned the money.
The household, who have been clearing out the house of a beloved one who had not too long ago died, stated that they had no concept the place all the cash had come from.
