Allocation of funds to universities “will not even allow them to keep up with inflation”
New Zealand’s universities have been short-changed by the nationwide budget on 19 May, vice-chancellors have claimed.
Labelling the funding will increase for universities “tiny”, the vice-chancellors’ group Universities New Zealand mentioned the end result was disappointing and wouldn’t “even allow them to keep up with inflation”.
