The President Gustav Petro begins a busy schedule this Monday after his official arrival in power. The president will advance meetings with leaders and diplomats from abroad – taking advantage of the fact that they visited Colombia to witness his inauguration – and towards the end of the afternoon he will make the first council of ministers

“Today the Colombia of the possible begins. We are here against all odds, against a story that said we were never going to govern, against the usual, against those who did not want to let go of power. But we made it. We made the impossible possible, ”said the head of state in his first speech as president of Colombia.
“We will comply with the Peace Agreement, we will strictly follow the recommendations of the report of the Truth Commission and we will work tirelessly to bring peace and tranquility to every corner of Colombia. This is the Government of life, of Peace, and this is how it will be remembered”, promised the President after a presidential command transmission to which approximately 100,000 people attendedin addition to the special guests.

What will Petro’s agenda be on his first day as president?
– At 9:30 am he will hold a press conference at the end of the meeting he will have with the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, who attended his possession on Sunday.
– Then, at 1:00 pm, he will hold bilateral meetings with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, the Foreign Minister of Cuba and the delegation sent by the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
– Later, at 4:00 in the afternoon, you will have a meeting with Fedemunicipalities.
– And at 6:00 pm will lead the first council of ministers.
