This August 7, in the middle of the possession of new president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, the farewell of the outgoing president Ivan Duke and his entire cabinet from the House of Nariño.

After his speech, the new president went to the Presidential House together with his wife Verónica Alcocer and their children, where Iván Duque and his ministers were waiting for him.
The moment in which members of the country’s Armed Forces marched alongside President Petro before the meeting with former President Duque was recorded on video.
Immediately afterwards, the former president shook hands with Gustavo Petro and his family, as did the Former First Lady Maria Juliana Ruiz and welcomed the new government.
After this, The Duke and his entire entourage left the Palace of Nariño and the new government officially took possession of the Presidency of the Republic.
