The makers of the famous Italian liqueur Disaronno have launched their world-first boutique accommodation at Guestlands Italia B&B.
Themed as La Casa Del Disaronno, the Tuscan and Bellagio-inspired venue is just a 45-minute drive from Sydney’s CBD, in the Hills district.

Guestlands, or La Casa Del Disaronno, is truly an Instagram lover’s dreamland, with delightful views everywhere you turn.
The boutique accommodation was created by Peter and Jenny Guest, who fell in love with Italy and decided to transform their home in the rural suburb of Arcadia into a romantic Italian getaway.
The couple planted a sprawling garden 25 years ago and created a village in 2017 with four villas, the main walkway, two side streets and lush gardens.
Peter and Jenny’s own Italian-themed home sits close by.

Tuscany without leaving Australia
Upon arriving at Guestlands, you’ll stumble upon a two-storey villa among narrow cobblestone pathways, a red Vespa parked at one end and a Fiat at the other.
Italian music fills the air as you walk through a picture-perfect Tuscan-inspired laneway.
You’re instantly transported to a perfectly manicured villa deep in the heart of “Italy”, where you will discover a tucked-away piazza filled with character and charm.
Get your camera ready to snap a shot of La Trattoria’s tables with quaint checked table cloths in a cobblestone alleyway.
The sense of romance continues into sprawling gardens, which include a picturesque pool and spa, to scenic views of a private lake, trees and terracotta roof tiles.
Every room tells an Italian story
Each villa features a luxurious fit-out, with a Disaronno Fizz aperitivo kit to enjoy there or on the scenic grounds.
Guests are treated to Disaronno hotel robes, a comforting throw blanket, and cushions for a cosy stay.
Each gorgeous room is decked out with hand-picked furniture and artwork that Jenny and Peter chose to create a unique story.
Beyond your room, you can dig into a cheese platter and wine at happy hour every night in the alleyways, or the clocktower if weather permits or the stunning cabana.
Speaking of the cabana, there’s an outdoor oven in this space where you can make your own pizzas with provided ingredients. Of course, it’s best enjoyed with a Disaronno or two.
To step up the romance, you can even book a private chef in advance for an alfresco candlelit meal.
On a Saturday night, you’ll hear opera performed in the piazza, which makes for a memorable evening.
Guestlands is a one-of-a kind getaway, offering minimum two-night stays from $690 per night. It’s no budget weekender, but well worth it for a European experience without having to board a plane.
Disaronno can be purchased at leading liquor stores and Disaronno Velvet can be purchased at leading independent retailers. Disaronno 700ml retails for $51.99, while Disaronno Velvet is $39.99 for 500ml.
