This is a great move by Caribes and his manager Omar Lopez, who also works as a coach in the Astros, something that facilitated the arrival of Luis García to the eastern cast. López himself is the one who appears in a video with the pitcher explaining the signing by Caribes and welcoming him.
“I feel very happy and content for the opportunity to have signed with the Caribes de Anzoátegui,” said the right-hander.
“The truth is that I am very anxious to be able to participate in the Venezuelan baseball league and I hope to see you very soon,” he added. “Come on, tribe!”
Luis is 8-7 with the Houston Astros, with a 3.81 ERA. This is his third season in the Major Leagues. He has 112 strikeouts in 106.1 innings, with 32 walks allowed.
