The renovation of a sanitation collector will cut off part of Madrid Avenue from Monday – Up Jobs News

The municipal company Ecocity will begin next Monday, the 8th, the renovation of a section of the sanitation collector that runs along Madrid Avenue in the direction of leaving the city. It is a nearly 100 meter long conduit located between Ramiro I de Aragón and Mompeón Motos streets.

This is the second phase of modernization of this pipeline, after a few months ago the section between Miguel Labordeta and Viriano streets was replaced. The collector is dented in several places and in others it is broken or badly wornso it is going to be replaced to solve the leaks it produces in nearby farms.

The work will take longer. for two months, until the beginning of October. During this time, it will be necessary to cut off traffic in the two traffic lanes of Madrid Avenue in the direction of leaving the city in the section between Garcilaso de la Vega and Viriato streets. Traffic to Los Enlaces will be diverted through Vía Universitas and Mompeón Motos.

The cut will affect five bus lines, which will see their route modified: 21, 24, 33, 36 and N3. that will circulate diverted by Mompeón Motos.

As in the first phase renovated several months ago, the sunken collector runs along the sidewalk of Madrid Avenue. Numerous underground services and medium-sized trees also run through it. So that these services and trees are not affected by the works, Ecocity going to place the new pipe under the roadway.

Preliminary work will begin early Monday morning and the traffic closure and detours will take place mid-morning.
