CULIACÁN._ The operational deputy director of the Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic of Culiacán was shot to death on Saturday night in the Tres Ríos Urban Development, a few meters from the State Attorney General’s Office, in the north of the city.
The police chief killed is Juan Manuel “N”, known as the “Comandante Boxer”, since in his beginnings he practiced boxing.
The attack was recorded around 10:10 p.m., and it was with long weapons.
It was reported that the commander was intercepted by armed men on Maytorena and Marina streets, between Room 53 and building 120.
One of the versions that are handled is that the officers were unarmed and then fired directly at the commander.
The lifeless body of the police chief was left on the sidewalk.
In the ranks of the police corporation, Juan Manuel began to climb different areas until he became deputy director of operations.
The crime scene was cordoned off by the authorities of the Sinaloa State Prosecutor’s Office, to carry out the corresponding proceedings.
The Sinaloa Undersecretary of Security, Carlos Alberto Hernández, reported that they carried out search operations for the alleged perpetrators.
He affirmed that the new deputy director was accompanied by two other patrols, whose policemen were unable to repel the aggression and that shell casings of long weapons were found in the place.
This murder occurs one hour after the arrival of 224 military elements and 63 of the National Guard, who come to reinforce surveillance in Sinaloa.
