Sassuolo have made their initial offer to Inter to try and sign striker Andrea Pinamonti.
This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the Neroverdi have made an initial bid of €15 million in addition to accepting a buyback option in the deal, whilst the Nerazzurri are still holding out for more.
Sassuolo are now joining the chase for Pinamonti who they see as a direct replacement for Gianluca Scamacca following the latter’s sale to West Ham United.
So far Atalanta and Monza as well as Salernitana have been among Pinamonti’s main suitors, but now that the Neroverdi have the cash on hand to move for the 23-year-old from the Scamacca sale, they appear to be wasting little time.
The Emilians’ initial offer is worth €15 million in cash, and they would also be willing to accept Inter’s demand that a buyback option be included in the deal, whilst Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta still expects them to go higher with the cash offer.
