Havana, Aug 5 (RHC) The II Round of Conversations on Migration Issues between Cuba and Chile, which took place this Friday in virtual format, concluded after taking place in a cordial and cooperative environment, which allowed evaluating the behavior of the migratory flow between Both countries.

The working session was chaired by Ernesto Soberón, general director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, and on the Chilean side by Pedro Hernández, head of the Migration Division.

During the meeting, both parties highlighted the value of holding these meetings and expressed their willingness to strengthen comprehensive mechanisms that reinforce bilateral collaboration in this area, to allow travelers to travel regularly, in an orderly and safe manner.

The I Round of Conversations on this issue was held in February 2018, in which a bilateral cooperation mechanism on migration was established. (Source: ACN)
