Havana, Aug 7 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated this Sunday the elected president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, who took office in the nation south american

On the social network Twitter, the Cuban dignitary sent the message in which, in addition, he ratified the commitment of the largest island of the Antilles with peace in Colombia.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez heads the Cuban delegation that attended the investiture ceremony in Bogotá.

Rodríguez reiterated Cuba’s willingness to promote bilateral relations and cooperation with the new government, as well as our country’s invariable commitment to peace in Colombia.

The delegation is also made up of the Vice Chancellor, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro; Eugenio Martínez Enríquez, general director of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Javier Caamaño Cairo, Cuban ambassador in Bogotá.
