During the afternoon of this Thursday, the president of the Council for Transparency (CPLT), Francisco Leturia, He apologized through his Twitter account, due to a controversial post he made in the early hours of yesterday.
Specifically, Leturia responded to a publication by former conventionalist Jaime Bassa, who shared a statement from the Chilean Commission for Human Rights (CCHDH), where the institution pronounced itself regarding the proposal for a new Constitution.
In the former constituent’s tweet, the president of the CPLT commented “What the hell… is the Chilean Human Rights Commission”a fact that generated Bassa’s indignation and occupied the same network to say: “The President of the Council for Transparency? Really?”.
After that, and due to the overcrowding of the comment, Leturia publicly apologized through Twitter. “I shouldn’t have expressed myself like that. I sincerely apologize to all the people that I could have affected with such a sensitive and relevant topic.he claimed.
However, despite the message from the authority, the deputy of the Communist Party Carmen Hertz also criticized Leturia’s publication. “Shameful! It is a scandal that you preside over the Transparency Council, you seem like the president of a fourth-rate Hopscotch Club, sorry for Hopscotch”wrote the parliamentarian.
