The great market of Roma adds up and continues. After Svilar, Celik, Matic and Dybala, the Giallorosso club made the incorporation of Georginio Wijnaldum official this afternoon. The Dutchman leaves PSG after a single season, and arrives in the Italian capital on loan with a purchase option. The signing of him was welcomed with great enthusiasm by both the fans and the Roma board, which had been working for weeks to make Mourinho’s request a reality. Italians will pay 50% of their salary (they will disburse, then, around 5 million net) and its sports director, Tiago Pinto, spoke proudly of the operation: “Wijnaldum’s decision is the umpteenth demonstration that an unusual player believes so much in our project that he they strive with all their energies so that the negotiations come to a good conclusion. We can only be happy of your arrival: He has an innate leadership, which led him to be captain of one of the best teams in the world, and a class that will make us even more competitive”.
The player, for his part, explained his ‘yes, I do’ to the Giallorossi in this way: “The club has shown me how much it loved me with its efforts and the Tifosi did the same on social networks, this always gives confidence. I will give everything to achieve our goals”.
The Dutchman, who was also fired on social media by PSG (“We wish him a great season in the Roma shirt”), will wear number 25. Roma will not stop with him: soon he also wants to close a central defender and a forward, which may be Belotti. Mourinho, this year, will not be able to complain about the squad.
