The Russian Daniil Medvedev maintains the N.1 of the ATP classification published on Monday, in which the Pole Hubert Hurkacz and the British Cameron Norrie, now N.10 and N.11 respectively, each gained a position.
This advance left Italian Jannik Sinner out of the ‘Top 10’, losing two places and falling to world number 12.
In a week without too many changes in the ‘Top 20’, the highlight was the rise of Australian Nick Kyrgios, winner of the Washington tournament on Sunday, who gained 26 positions to place himself N.37 in the world.
The Wimbledon finalist had not been this high in the ATP rankings since February 2020. His opponent in the US tournament final, Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, rose 42 places despite the loss, and is now No. 54.
