As “Today” learned, it was precisely because of this lack of differentiation that there was at least one incident in a supermarket in a shopping center in Vienna-Penzing (14th). FFP2 wearers are said to have been insulted. Apparently the incident or incidents were so dramatic that the operators felt compelled to put their foot down.
“No automatic sign”
On a large sign, all people entering the shop are informed in large friendly letters that the FFP2 mask is also worn “voluntarily and preventively”.
“Dear customers, masks can protect – not only against Corona. That’s why some people wear them voluntarily and preventively,” warns the supermarket. All those who jump to conclusions are informed that “an FFP2 mask is not an automatic sign of corona disease”. That applies to both customers and employees.
