Leverkusen – Hoffenheim 0: 3: Bayer crash more and more dramatic

Since club legend Rudi Völler (62) gave up his job as sporting director at the end of the season, nothing seems to be going right at the Werkself.

Bayer star Jonathan Tah (26) told BILD am Sonntag after the game: “Everything is wrong. We can’t always say we’re a young team, we have to grow up. It’s not about quality, it’s about the few percentages that we lack, that we lacked in every game.”

Before kick-off, the fans expressed their sympathy for Seoane: when reading out the team’s line-up, they called out the coach’s last name particularly loudly.

The Swiss himself is optimistic on the TV channel “Sky”, but demands “more determination and uncompromisingness” from his team than in the last few games. But that goes wrong (again).

34 minutes: A deflected cross from Ozan Kabak sails past keeper Lukas Hradecky (back in action after being suspended), Andrej Kramaric heads in freely to make it 2-0 for Hoffenheim. Luck for Leverkusen five minutes later: referee Tobias Reichel takes back a goal by Robert Skov after video evidence because Kabak had previously fouled.

After the break, Leverkusen got more involved, but the Seoane squad failed to score.

But Hoffenheim knock out another one for that. And how! Georginio Rutter scores with a 16-meter hammer to make it 3-0 (78th). The second dream goal of the guests, who bring in their second win of the season.
