Norwegian tech firm Kongsberg Maritime (KM) has signed a contract with the design, improvement, engineering and consulting firm Aker Arctic Technology which can see KM supplying propellers and shafts for 4 new Finnish Navy’s Pohjanmaa-class (Squadron 2020) corvettes.
KM’s supply will encompass CPP controllable pitch propellers and shafts for the 4 vessels. Each corvette can be outfitted with two propellers, with the propeller blades, hubs and shafts.
