in the last hours Juana Repetto decided to put an end to the criticism he received on his Instagram account for some posts about breastfeeding. The actress exceeds one and a half million followers, and what began as a reflection accompanied by a photo album, culminated in a wake-up call about the verbal violence that prevails in the virtual world. Tired of reading offensive messages, she went a step further and replied to a particular follower who called her “insane”.
The conflict arose over a series of images where she is seen breastfeeding to his firstborn, Toribiofive years old, and the little Warbringer, which celebrated its first year in June. A user of the social network published a screenshot of the publication and wrote in her stories: “The infant is 6 years old. Intern this insane person”and as if that statement were not enough, he also tagged Juana, so that she would be aware of her opinion with her own eyes.
The blunt answer was not long in coming: through her stories, the actress answered with a public claim. “This woman who says I have to be hospitalized for breastfeeding my 3-year-old son (She’s not 6 yet and she doesn’t drink breast milk anymore but she could, so what?)”, he questioned, referring to the time of the images he shared. And he explained the reason why he had to reply to the post twice: “For those who do not understand, I mean this story that I had uploaded before the previous one, but since the woman who had uploaded it deleted it, it was deleted of my stories too”.
“That same woman writes this that I am going to leave in the next story for her own daughter. How so that we know from whom the aggressions come and understand that if they talk to their children like that… we can’t expect anything else”, he finished, along with an image where the face of the minor was covered and highlighted the text that the user wrote: “Last grade. Come on dear! Enjoy that the worst is coming later. No shit… champion, we’re doing great. And lend me that skirt that I loved. You’re my life. I love you so much always.”
Days ago, World Breastfeeding Week -the first of August- Reina Reech’s daughter published a reflection on her feed. “I leave you this reel called: ‘Me giving breasts in places’, because feeding our children when they need it, wherever we are, it is not a reason for foreign looks and much less for opinions that nobody asks for”. And he added a wish list: “Because we all have the right information to be able to decide consciouslyfor fewer opinologists, for more pediatricians who promote exclusive breastfeeding”.
“For fewer entrepreneurs selling formula milk with misleading messages for those poor people who may not have had the opportunity to access quality information, for more childcare workers of love giving that word of encouragement, advice, pampering, suggestion to that mom who is complicated”, he sentenced. In addition, he dedicated heartfelt words to the mothers who could not breastfeed: “For many memes for those who for some reason could not breastfeed, given with unconditional love and the looks that make us connect the most in the world; because all mothers know that there are thousands of possibilities to achieve breastfeeding if they so wish”. And he concluded: “Ask for help, consult, because the tit is given until the day it is decided. For free breastfeeding!”.
