Jack Nowell has said that he will never forget his stag weekend in Ireland, in which he had to wear a full Munster kit at Thomond Park.
Exeter Chiefs winger Nowell had to look on from the stands as his side fell to Munster in the Heineken Champions Cup due to injury, and to make matters worse, he was wearing a full Munster kit while doing so.
Nowell was made to wear the Munster kit as part of his stag weekend and was caught on TV sitting in the stands at Thomond Park alongside some of his current and former Exeter team mates.
The England international was speaking on the BBC’s Rugby Union Weekly podcast and admitted that he had a great weekend despite having to wear the kit of the team who ended Exeter’s European aspirations this season.
Jack Nowell details his stag weekend.
“We stayed in Dublin but we travelled up [to Limerick] and back on the train. The train was unbelievable because obviously we were with all the Munster fans going down,” Nowell explained.
“I’ve rocked up in this extra, extra, extra small rugby top, it must have been kids. Four XL shorts, full kit, full socks, everything and I was like, ‘Oh God.’ Everyone laughing.
“They [the Munster fans] are actually unbelievable. Their fans are unbelievable. I think I was being line out lifted in the little bar for about three hours after, around the back of the stadium.
“I think everyone sees the funny side of it but a few people are saying it’s pretty disgraceful. I think a lot of people see the funny side of it and it was an unbelievable weekend. I don’t think I’m ever going to forget it.”

The Exeter winger could miss the rest of the season.
Nowell could miss the rest of Exeter’s season, having suffered a broken arm during England’s loss to France on the last day of the Six Nations.
The 29-year-old certainly seems to be enjoying his time off however, as he revealed he spent two days in Ireland drinking Guinness and vodka, having gone off alcohol “cold turkey” at the start of the season.
