The workers of the Mayabeque Raw Materials Recovery Company, based in San José de las Lajas, and its Municipal Business Units, increase their actions in the community, with the purpose of bringing the population closer to this activity, as well as to generate more values.
An example of this is the approach of the pioneers of the province to the recovery of recyclable materials, through the festivals that are held in educational centers of the province, with the support of student and mass organizations.
In each of these activities, students provide products that help comply with the agreements established with the institution, while educational actions are carried out such as exhibitions, educational and sports games related to recycling.
Likewise, as part of the company’s action program, it increases the clean points such as those enabled on the beaches of the north coast, in addition to signing agreements with tourism establishments such as camping bases and hotels to improve recovery.
On the other hand, with the optimal use of their technique, they maintain mobile purchases, an initiative that allows them to reach the door of the residents of the province to acquire different items, such as glass bottles, cardboard, paper and plastic.
They also receive the contribution of the state sector, for example at the end of July, they recovered a considerable volume of gazette paper, a large amount of steel and aluminum with crude oil transport tankers from the TRANSCUPET Company, thus complying with Law 1288/ 75, as well as 4, 3 tons of cast iron.
To maintain these results, periodic control inspections are carried out to review various specialties and groups of documents with positive results, showing progress in compliance with the recovery plans.
