HONG Kong actor Andy Lau (pic) was said to have a proclivity for women with hairy forearms, Sin Chew Daily reported.
This was revealed in a book by veteran TV producer Gary Yeung Siu-hung, who wrote about the interesting encounters and experiences he has had with various artistes.
Yeung, who had worked with Lau on multiple projects, recalled a funny moment when shooting the 1982 drama, The Legend of Master So, with Lau and actress Michelle Yim.
He said during a filming session, Lau had jokingly asked Yim if he could caress her arms.
“Lau was feeling sleepy then and he said hairy arms kept him awake,” added Yeung.
The former producer of Hong Kong Television Broadcasts (TVB) also revealed that Lau had initially planned to sign up for a director training course, but the company saw his potential in acting and urged him to attend the class to groom artistes.
Lau completed the one-year course in the early 1980s. His classmates included Tony Leung Ka-fai, Jaime Chik Mei-chun, Andy Tai Chi-wai and Carrie Ng Ka-lai.
