At the meeting, the president-elect was accompanied by the elected vice president, Francia Márquez Mina, and the designated foreign minister, Álvaro Leyva Durán.
During the meeting, Boluarte highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations and the existing coincidences between the two countries in the interest of protecting the environment and the Amazon, promoting border development and inclusion of less favored populations, strengthening the regional integration, as well as joint work to fight transnational organized crime.

Similarly, they highlighted the common interest in promoting gender equality and inclusion policy.
Both delegations agreed to hold the VII Presidential Meeting and Binational Cabinet between both countries in the first quarter of 2023 in Peru, in order to continue promoting joint bilateral policies.
In this sense, Gustavo Petro highlighted the need to continue working together on the bilateral agenda and agreed to participate in the next Binational Cabinet, to be held in Cusco.
On the other hand, Dina Boluarte He extended a cordial invitation to his Colombian counterpart, Francia Márquez, to visit Peru this year to address issues of common interest in terms of social inclusion programs.

Finally, the Minister of Foreign Affairs gave Gustavo Petro a personal letter from the President peter castle conveying his congratulations on his investiture and wishing to strengthen the bilateral relationship between both countries.
