The Entrepreneurs Club of Ciudad Guayana sees this measure as positive for its union. The Guyanese not so much.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that Christmas would begin in the country in October.
“Get ready that from October 1 the Christmas holidays start in Venezuela and all that activity of sharing, solidarity, rumba, trade, gifts,” he said during a speech.
scoop carried out a consultation through social networks to find out the opinion of the Guyanese community, who mostly reject the decision of the national president.
Through Twitter, 83.2% do not see the advancement of the holidays as beneficial, while the remaining 16.8% do agree with the measures indicated by the national executive.
Yeseny Ferrer, through her Facebook account, commented “I don’t even want to think about paying bonuses. She will surely be a tip as the holidays went.”
Nerida Gutiérrez also stated “the problem is not to overtake her, what she has to do is fix the country’s economy, which is what is killing us, prices increase every day and the salary is only enough to buy a chicken and the dollar goes up. That is why he wants to advance it because in December the dollar will be at 10 Bs.”
“Nothing beneficial, the crisis continues, worse every day,” said Marina Castro in the same network.
Entrepreneurs
Sergio Romero, a member of the Ciudad Guayana Entrepreneurs Club run by Fedecamaras Bolívar, said that he sees this measure as something positive for his union.
“As they say popularly: every opportunity they give you, take advantage of it. Before the announcement for the third consecutive year, of the advancement of Christmas by the State, this time with greater anticipation by the way; it evokes the bagpipes, the bonuses, the party, the Billo’s and Los Melodicos, elements that are deeply rooted in our local culture that in our mind and soul have the aroma of hallacas, cream punch, Christmas tree and manger”, he added.
Romero emphasized that it should be taken as a new opportunity for economic, personal and even spiritual growth given the allegory or metaphor of the birth of Christ in the heart of every being of good will.
“Christmas is also associated with purchases, consumption, gifts and joy, so if these ideas are promoted in the minds of the population, it will surely result in higher sales for the entrepreneurial sector,” he concluded.
For this reason, they will begin to prepare and thus make the most of it.
Given this, Maduro pointed out that the expectations of growth in the country’s economy are very good, especially in the last quarter.
