President Miguel Díaz-Canel spoke this Sunday with the heads of the aid teams sent by Mexico and Venezuela to help put out the fire in the industrial zone of the western province of Matanzas.
According to the Twitter account of the Presidency of the Republic, the head of state thanked the governments of those countries for their immediate solidarity, in particular their presidents, Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Nicolás Maduro.

Before, the Cuban president led an early work meeting to define the actions that continue this Sunday in order to control and finally extinguish the fire at the Supertanker Base in Matanzas Bay.
In that meeting, Transportation Minister Eduardo Rodríguez reported that four flights from Mexico and one from Venezuela arrived in the last few hours with help and technical assistance to deal with the incident.
Specialized firefighters, experts, equipment including helicopters, as well as foam and chemical products used in the extinction of these incidents are part of the cooperation of these countries.
