Havana, Aug 22 (ACN) A thank you to the Bolivian people and its president, Luis Alberto Arce Catacora, for the solidarity donation sent to Cuba for the recovery of the fire in the Matanzas industrial zone, was expressed today by Bruno Rodriguez GrillMinister of Foreign Affairs of the Antillean nation.
In his official Twitter account, the Foreign Minister specified that the aid includes food, medicine and medical supplies, which arrived on Monday in the largest of the Antilles.

“From #Bolivia, I fly to #Cuba with a donation of food, medicine and medical supplies in solidarity with our people after an incident in Matanzas. Our deep gratitude to the brother Bolivian people and its president @LuchoXBolivia”, he pointed out.
This Sunday, the Bolivian head of state announced on the same social network that his government would send Cuba 62 tons of food in favor of those affected by the fire in Matanzas.
Arce Catacora stressed that this aid attends to the principle of reciprocity and complementarity between brother towns; Cuba has always taught us the true meaning of solidarity, he said.
His counterpart from the Antillean nation, Miguel Díaz-Canel, thanked the Bolivian government for the gesture in a tweet, and expressed: “Love is paid with love.”
On August 5, as a result of the impact of an electrical discharge, a fuel tank at the Matanzas supertanker base caught fire, causing the flames to subsequently spread to three other tanks.
Considered the largest industrial accident in Cuba, the incident caused more than a hundred injuries, 16 deaths and substantial material losses.
