Cuba-Serbia cultural cooperation

With the aim of promoting common goals, the Cuban Ministry of Culture and its Serbian counterpart signed this Thursday a cooperation program in the field of culture.

The document was signed by Alpidio Alonso Grau, Cuban Minister of Culture, and Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Media of that country, who has been on an official visit to the island since last Wednesday.

Alonso Grau detailed to Selakovic about the operation of the various cultural entities throughout the nation and how they are nourished by the artistic education system, which he described as the undisputed achievement of the Revolution.

The official assured that the attention granted by the country’s leadership to the sector is largely due to its central presence in the socialist project of the Cuban Revolution.

Although the largest of the Antilles lacks several natural resources, it is rich in terms of committed cultural production that has accompanied the independence and emancipation process in its various stages, he assured.
