At that time, the brave presence of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, followed by worthy Cubans, drew applause and turned the manifested indiscipline, taken advantage of by opportunists and mercenaries in the pay of the empire, into a victory for the people to loot shops and destroy facilities at the service of the public good.
What a coincidence, for the naive of course, that on that occasion, like on July 11 of last year, those scenarios were prowled by characters from the U.S. representation in Cuba, which is no secret to anyone, they encouraged and financed the disturbances from within and from without. of our country.
Fidel’s courage and equanimity, upheld with full reason and principles, had a spirited response from thousands of workers and members of his escort, members of the National Revolutionary Police, and the revolutionary people, without weapons of any kind in their hands to face the revolt of August 5, 1994, not without being attacked in some cases, and thus avoid bloodshed between brothers.
