China announces sanctions against Nancy Pelosi and "her immediate family" for the visit to Taiwan

From Tokyo, the Speaker of the House of Representatives said that China will not isolate Taiwan by preventing US officials from traveling to the island. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said China’s military exercises near Taiwan constituted a “significant escalation” without “any justification.”
