Javier “Chicharito” Hernandezstriker for the Los Angeles Galaxy, is involved in a new controversy after a video began to circulate on social networks where he appears signing autographs and ends up “throwing” a Mexican flag to the ground, something that many took as a gesture of “rejection”.
However, “el Chicharito” Hernández clarified the situation through a live on Instagram, explaining that he is used to signing “without looking” at the fans and what he did was “pass” the flag thinking that they were still holding it from the stands. so in the video it seems that he throws it.

Regarding the criticism he received, Javier Hernández assured that this is the “true” version of what happened and denied any type of “rejection” towards his country, assuring that it is a situation that was taken out of context.
“People will continue to interpret, but this is the version that I leave with you. As always, you know that I am eternally grateful to my country, I do not want this to be a “trial” or a questioning of my patriotism and the love I have for my country.”
