Havana Cuba. – The Canadian-American astronomer James Craig Watson, was born in Fingal, Canada, on January 28, 1838. August 6, 1871 discovers the asteroid (115) Thyra, from the Detroit observatory in Ann Arbor, United States. That asteroid that is part of the asteroid belt. Its name is in honor of Thyra Danebod, a former Danish queen.
