The Plaza Pública de Cadem survey revealed that Rejection leads the preferences for the plebiscite on September 4, reaching 47%. This result translates into a decrease of 1 point compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, the Approval registered the same fall and marked 37% support, so the difference between both options remains at 10%.
Likewise, it should be noted that 16% of those surveyed remain undecided regarding their vote.
Regarding the expectations of the result, 50% believe that they will win the Rejection (+4 pts), regardless of their preference.
On the contrary, 42% think that the Approval will expirewhich shows a drop of 4 pts compared to the previous survey.
In addition, the survey showed that 58% of those surveyed feel fear or concern with respect to the text elaborated by the Constitutional Convention.
Instead, 38% identify with the concept of hope when asked about the proposal for a new Fundamental Charter.
Cadem: Boric approval drops to 35%
Regarding the evaluation of the Executive, 35% of those surveyed by Cadem approve of the management of President Gabriel Boric.
This result means a decrease of 2 pts in relation to last week, when the head of state showed 37% support.
On the other hand, 56% disapprove of the President’s workmaintaining the percentage shown seven days ago.
81% believe that crime has increased in the last year
According to the Plaza Pública de Cadem survey, 81% believe that crime in Chile has increased in the last yearwhile only 1% think it has decreased.
Meanwhile, 18% consider that the criminal phenomenon remains in the same conditions.
Among the reasons for believing that crime has increased, those surveyed rank the following -from highest to lowest-: courts and Prosecutor’s Office do not work (24%), increase in immigration (21%) and lack of powers for Carabineros (20%), among others.
Cadem measures approval of institutions and parties
The institutions best evaluated by the respondents are Firefighters (99%), PDI (76%), Civil Registry (70%), Air Force (69%) and Carabineros (68%).
Some entities that fell in their level of approval were the Constitutional Court (-7 pts), the Medical College (-7 pts), the courts (-7 pts), the DC (-7 pts), the Broad Front (-6 pts ), the Public Prosecutor’s Office (-5 pts) and the Catholic Church (-5 pts).
Finally, the support of political parties in Chile was measured. In that sense, they are in the lead. Chile Vamos (25%), the Broad Front (22%), Democratic Socialism (18%), the DC (17%) and the Communist Party (16%).
