Renowned voices gave their opinion about the 16th. edition of the Gibara International Film Festival, which will conclude this Saturday in the northeastern city with the delivery of the Lucía awards in different categories.
The actress Tahimí Alvariño, whose performances have been felt here with the short films The bell Y The Poles, explained: «Returning to the cinema also encompasses returning to the Festival, to the public and to the people of Gibara, to reconnect with other people. Here, in addition to the cinematographic, plays, live music, photography, visual arts and dance converge: art everywhere».

Film director Fernando Pérez highlighted: «I was in 2019 and I was delighted. The essence of the Festival is preserved. This time I was moved by the inaugural parade. The celebration goes beyond filmography, because there is a call for different artistic expressions.
«And I like the alternative here, since it starts from the spontaneous, the natural and is improvised a lot. These days show that it can. In Gibara, I also receive a lot from young people and exchange with them».
