“The challenge of climate change is a national security challenge as well as being a challenge for our actual environment,” Mr Albanese mentioned.
“(It is) also an opportunity for us to grow jobs and increase economic activity.”
Ms Ardern mentioned New Zealand was “heartened” by the Albanese authorities’s place on slicing emissions.
“It is good for our region and good for the world when we work collaboratively on this extraordinary challenge,” she mentioned.
“The Pacific region has listed climate change as its number one threat.
“And that’s not out of symbolism, that’s out of the truth that proper now we already see the appreciable results of coastal erosion, of extreme climate occasions, and of displacement in our yard.”
