Peruvian actor and singer Diego Bertie died on August 5 after falling from the 14th floor of the building where he lived, located in the district of Miraflores, Lima (Peru).
The news was confirmed by the commander of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru, Mario Casaretto. “It is unfortunate news, Diego Bertie’s person has been found in his garage with multiple fractures in his legs and back,” he said.
Within minutes, the Casimiro Ulloa Hospital reported in a statement that the artist arrived lifeless at the medical center.
“Our hospital complies with reporting that at 4:10 am Mr. Diego Bertie Brignardello (54) was admitted, who was immediately treated by health professionals confirming his death,” the hospital reported.
“I received the news early (…) We are all in shock because Diego is an angel who is living among us, he is the noblest guy with whom I have had to work, “said Carlos Sánchez La Can, manager of the artist.
Diego Bertie’s career
Diego Bertie was a Peruvian singer, songwriter and actor. He started his artistic career as a singer with a pop rock band that he formed together with his university classmates in 1986.
Two years later he released his first record production called Our Versionwhich contains hits such as “New Faces”, “The Good Times” and “Once More”.
