Looks like Alex Jones was preparing for the worst as he sat on trial against the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
The “Infowars” host has transferred his $3 million Austin, Texas estate to his wife, Erika Wulff Jones, according to public property records.
On August 5, the controversial conspiracy theorist was ordered by a Texas jury to pay more than $45 million to the parents of one of the victims of the 2012 school shooting that killed 20 children and six adults.
The ruling came a day after Jones was also ordered to cough up $4.1 million in compensatory damages for claiming that the Newtown, Conn. school shooting was a hoax, designed to increase support for gun control.
Andino Reynal, Jone’s lawyer, had requested the penalty be under $300,000. “You’ve already sent a message. A message for the first time to a talk show host, to all talk show hosts, that their standard of care has to change,” said Reynal.
Jones had testified that any amount he owed over $2 million would “sink” Infowars’ parent company. However, a plaintiff-hired economist estimated Jones and his company were worth as much as $270 million, and that he withdrew $62 million for himself last year as he faced default judgments in lawsuits.
In the past year, he has been getting his finances in order, including his real estate assets.
Last month, as Jones faced mounting legal trouble, he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Meanwhile, he transferred property over to his wife.
It is unclear how he plans to pay for the amount ordered. The Post has reached out for comment.
What we do know is that Jones has an expansive portfolio in the city of Austin. And the latest court ruling isn’t exactly going to keep him from living the luxe life.
The 58-year-old conservative broadcaster was recently spotted in Omaha, Nebraska staying at four-star hotel, dining at the pricey 801 Chophouse restaurant downtown, and driving around with body guards for optimal protection, according to Daily Mail.
Jones purchased a four bedroom, five bathroom estate back in 2015 for undisclosed amount. But it was last asking $2,275,000.
Built in 2006, the Spanish villa style home spans over 5,400 square feet and situated on over an acre of land overlooking Barton Creek Greenbelt.
Main Residence – Austin, Texas (Worth over $3,000,000)
Features include a cobble stone drive that leads to a private courtyard. The open floor plan boast soaring wood-beamed ceilings and walls of windows. The gourmet kitchen comes with granite countertop and custom cabinet, the previous listing noted.
The primary suite boasts an en-suite office, sitting area and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, jetted tub and walk in closet.
Outdoor amenities include a pool, spa, fireplace, and space for al fresco dining.
It is estimated to be worth $3,061,600 today, according to Realtor.com.
In February, records show the deed for the property was transferred solely to his current wife, Erika.
In 2009, Jones purchased a three-bedroom, two-bathroom waterfront estate with his first wife, Kelly Nichols Jones.
Vacation Residence – Austin, Texas (Worth about $1,800,000)
Following their divorce in 2015, the property was fully transferred to the Infowars host, records shows.
Located 20 miles from his main residence, the property is situated on 6 acres of land and was designed by renowned architect Christopher Alexander (who passed away in March).
Spanning 1,580 square feet, it comes packed with amenities that includes its own basketball court, sauna, outdoor dining area, a courtyard, and a private boat dock.
The open floor plan features gourmet kitchen with stone countertops, a petite sitting room, and a separate breakfast area.
Built in 1995, the home is currently estimated at $1,896,200.
In 2016, Jones purchased a three-bedroom, three-bathroom investment condo for about half a million at the time.
While pictures of the unit that Jones purchased is scarce, The Post obtained photos of a the replica unit next door.
Condo Residence – Austin, Texas (Worth about $900,000)
Spanning nearly 2,000 square-feet, the condo was built in 2014 and is located in the South Lamar neighborhood.
A contemporary design, features include 10 feet high ceilings, an open floor plan, granite counters, wood flooring, and a break fast bar.
The primary suite comes with a double vanity, garden tub, a separate shower, and private balcony.
There is also a small fenced yard.
The condo is estimated to be worth $899,500 today.
In 1998, Alex Jones purchased a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Austin that he appears to still be hanging onto.
It is likely he passed it down to a family member. In 2013, he worked closely with his father to run a supplement business back in 2013.
Family House — Austin, Texas (Worth $610,000)
Spanning 1,867 square feet, the home was built back in 1973. Jones purchased the home for about $105,000 at the time.
It is estimated to cost almost $700,000 today.
Because it was last listed almost 25 years ago, interior photos are scarce.
Meanwhile, Jones has already sold off several other properties around the Austin area for a significant price.
In 2011, he sold off a five-bedroom home in the Rivercrest area for $1.2 million, according to Realtor.com.
He also sold a 7,000 square-foot mansion in the upscale West Lake Hills neighborhood back in 2007, dubbed a “masterpiece.” It was last on the market back in 2016 for $5.5 million.
