Seven UK cities have been shortlisted as potential hosts for the 67th Eurovision Song Contest next year.
Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle and Glasgow all made it through the first stage of the bidding process.
They were chosen from 20 cities which expressed interest in hosting the competition after organisers decided it was too dangerous to stage it in Ukraine, which won this year’s event with Kalush Orchestra, because of the continuing war with Russia. The UK will host instead because contestant Sam Ryder came second.
