Havana, Aug 20 (ACN) The Ministry of Health today reported 74 positive samples out of a total of 1,832 that were carried out for epidemiological surveillance.
According to the agency’s website, of the 74 positive patients, 43 were female and 31 male, while 54 were contacts of confirmed cases, 20 without a specified source of infection and six were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.

By age groups, 41 are under 20 years old; 16 are between 20 and 39 years old; four between 40 and 59 years old and 13 between 60 years and over.
Of the 109,911 million patients diagnosed with the disease, 331 remain hospitalized, 326 of them with stable clinical evolution.
Eight thousand 529 deaths accumulate, none on the day, for a lethality of 0.77 percent (%) against 1.08% in the world and 1.61% in the Americas; two evacuated, 57 returned to their countries.
On the day there were 87 medical discharges with which they accumulate one million 100 thousand 992 (99.0%).
Five confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, including two critical patients and three seriously ill patients.
