SCORE—The Oaks Team, coached by Fawaz Daniels, was accepted from a select group of teams that applied to compete in the world’s largest youth soccer tournament, the Gothia Cup, in Sweden this July 2022. Players are from Simi, Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. Of the 167 teams in their age bracket, The Oaks advanced to the round of 16 in the international tournament which featured 1617 teams from over 62 nations. They represented the US well.
