These overcrowded and unsanitary conditions are factors that, when combined, become a risk to the detainees’ health. If one of them gets tuberculosis, the rest are in danger. Two years ago, with the start of the pandemic, Una Ventana a la Libertad denounced two cases of tuberculosis in the cells of the Miranda State Police General Command (Polimiranda), located in Los Teques, Miranda state.
