In the middle of protocol acts of the possession of Gustavo Petro as the new president of Colombia, the Military forces they paid recognition to the new head of state, with the purpose of welcoming him to the Casa de Nariño, where the now former president was waiting for him Ivan Duke.
Petro walked alongside his wife, the first lady, Veronica Alcocer, and their children from Plaza de Bolívar to the Casa de Nariño. At the end of the tour, the military dome received him to tour the Plaza de Armas together, in a ceremony that was accompanied by trumpets and drums.
