Monkeypox Vaccines
The head of the Minsa, Jorge Lopezreported that his portfolio is still in talks with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for the purchase of vaccines against monkeypox.
He indicated that the decision to buy vaccines is not unilateral and that there is a committee of experts that is in charge of deciding whether the country needs the doses against this disease or not.
“What we have to keep in mind is that we have a team, a committee of experts, which is in charge of saying whether we need the vaccines or not. Quite apart from that we have a team, because the decision is not only on my part, we are also in talks with PAHO, which is the only entity in charge of purchasing vaccines”, He specified in statements to the press.
