MADRID, Aug. 8 (Portaltic/EP) –
The application Fitbit Connectwhich allows you to transfer music and podcast files from a computer to a Fitbit smartwatch, It will no longer have support as of October 13, 2022.
The smart watches developed by Fitbit have a series of functions focused on health, physical activity and sports, although they also allow sound files to be integrated into their system previously downloaded.
This is possible thanks to the Fitbit Connect application, with which you can download music from your computer to certain models of ‘smartwatch’ and with which you can configure and synchronize the brand’s devices in case you do not have a model of iPhone or a compatible Android terminal.
Currently, it can be downloaded both on the computer, with support for the Windows operating system, from version 10, as in macOS X, and for mobile, since the application is available in App Store and Play Store.
However, as the manufacturer anticipates on its support website, it will discontinue this service as of October 13 of this year; a movement with which will remove the option to transfer playlists to wearables.
The company has explained that, from then on, users will be able to continue transferring music to their watches through the deezer app. In the United States, in addition, it can also be used for this Pandora.
With this, it has remembered that the types of files that it now allows are MP3, MP4 with AAC audio and WMA in the case of computers with a Windows operating system. By contrast, Fitbit watches only support MP3 and MP4 files with AAC audio transferred from a Mac computer.
This discontinuation will only affect the older devices of the brand, since the newer ones, such as Sense and Versa 3which only work with Pandora and Deezer services.
