Divers from the Mendoza Police found the man dead this Sunday afternoon who fell into the El Carrizal dam while fishing on a boat with a group of friends.
the fatal victim, identified as Dario Palmawas deputy director of Urban Hygiene of the Municipality of Godoy Cruz and was 43 years old.
After a full day of raking, Palma was found by the tactical divers of the force at the Las Heras campsite, on the side of the Rivadavia department, to the south east of the dam.
After the discovery, the presence of the Scientific Police and judicial officials was requested to order the removal of the body.

A relative of the occupants of the boat who suffered the accident explained on the networks how the event occurred on Saturday afternoon, minutes before 7:00 p.m.
He described that Palma, a man named Hugo Ramírez and a third occupant were on the boat, all co-workers in the Municipality of Godoy Cruz, who had decided to go to El Carrizal to fish.
He added that they all had life jackets on and that a wave turned the boat over while they were still fishing. The trio fell into the water and two of them were rescued by the crew of another boat that was in the area.
Both were taken to shore with hypothermia and then ended up in the Maipú Hospital. While the rescue was taking place, they tried to find the third fisherman, but they never spotted him.
Thus, from that moment on, the work of professionals trained for this type of task began. Six divers were taken to the sector to carry out the work and, after hours of searching, they finally found Palma in the depths.
