Members of the National Guard (GN), in collaboration with the municipal and state police from Puebla they found a clandestine outlet hidden in a sinkhole in the municipality of Jalpan, Puebla. The officers found the irregular facility in the Pozo del Tigre ejido covered with branches and trunks at kilometer 97+430.
The clandestine intake was connected to a Petróleos Mexicanos polyduct (Pemex) located in the section Tuxpan-Atotonilco, an 80-meter hose was also found. After the discovery, agents of the National Guard reviewed the area and implemented a security operation with the aim of protecting the residents.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic will be in charge of carrying out the necessary investigations to find those responsible.
Also in Puebla, in the municipality of Tepeaca, the National Guard secured five pipe-type vehiclesone of them had a robbery report, which were presumably used for the distribution of LP gas illegally. According to the authorities, the previous events derived from a citizen complaint.
The actions took place at kilometer 543+000, where the authorities found five tanker pipes that do not allow pedestrians to pass. When the security elements approached the place, several people got out of the vehicles to flee and went into the brush after leaving the vehicles.
In the place they were also found 12 empty stationary gas tanks and one container they were supposed to be used for the illegal distribution of fuel. The material was taken to the delegation of the Attorney General of the Republic in the entity, where the necessary investigations will continue.
Only in the first half of 2022 Pemex lost 8 thousand 633 million pesos due to fuel theft activities known as huachicoleo, the above due to criminal groups operating in places like Puebla, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, State of Mexicoamong others.
Also, last June, the National Guard located an abandoned truck that contained hydrocarbons of illegal origin, this in the state of Michoacán. At the scene they secured 20 thousand liters of gasoline. After inspecting the transport unit, neither the driver nor someone responsible for the vehicle was found.
In May 2022, Nuevo León police found and secured a tunnel that connected a house with a clandestine outlet of hydrocarbons, from there the fuel that was stored in the property and allegedly marketed illegally was taken. Two hoses were secured at the site, as well as a steel container with a valve attached.

The fuel theft has been one of the concerns of the current administrationwhich has led President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador a combat this crime through the Army and the National Guard.
