One more time, Universidad de Chile falls into a pit after the Superclásico with Colo Colo. This Sunday, the Romantic Traveler could not during his visit to Unión Española and ended up equaling 1-1in a result that serves no one.
Bulla fights to escape from the bottom of the table of positions, but with the tie they only get more complicated with the relegation. A different story, although no less painful, is that experienced by Hispanics, who are once again moving away from the title of the National Championship.
It seemed that things were looking good for the University of Chile, which had a very interesting start to the game. In fact, the Lion quickly took the lead and hoped to achieve a favorable result.
It was at 9′ of the match when the Romántico Viajero opened the scoring thanks to Dario Osorio. A cart to the limit of the forward position by Ronnie Fernández ended with a cross that the youth connected with a header for 0-1.
There were chances to do more damage, but in Bulla they were not fine in front of the goal. The clock ticked down to 45′, where Unión Española managed to shorten the gap and level everything with a header from Manuel Fernández.
The blow was strong for the U, which immediately lost control. A reflection of this was the reaction of Christopher Campos, who had a strong encounter with some Hispanic players. In the complement it was also noticed, with a team that little was understood on the field.
Unión Española had one of the clearest chances to take the victory, after Bastián Yáñez sent a run at 78′ that Rodrigo Piñeiro connected in front of the goal. Although there the Samurai Boy was remarkable to contain and avoid a new blue defeat.
Bulla also had theirs in the 91st minute, when Junior Fernandes headed down the left flank and conceded a shot that goalkeeper Luis Mejía managed to hit with his leg to make it 1-1. The discounts were pure pressure for both casts, but neither managed to deliver the final blow.
Universidad de Chile and Unión Española add a draw that, beyond being entertaining, is of no use to either. El Romántico Viajero suffers once again with relegation, while Hispanics look from afar at the top of the standings.
If Unión La Calera and Deportes Antofagasta win their games, the U will be just one point behind the teams that today are going down to the First B. The ghost of recent years is present, with a scenario that seems to have no way of fixing .
